F.A.Q

1. What does Deadly Deals Energy actually do?

We act as a home energy broker. We help you understand your electricity and gas bills, find the best available plans for your situation, and handle the switching process on your behalf.

2. If I can switch suppliers myself, why would I need you?

  • We save you the hassle. Switching on your own means tracking contracts, comparing offers, and completing multiple forms. We take care of the process for you.
  • You switch at the right time, every year. We monitor your contract end date to help you avoid early termination fees and out-of-contract rates.
  • We match the tariff to your setup. With increasingly complex tariffs, choosing the right plan (low usage, EVs, solar, battery storage etc.) can make a significant difference to what you pay.
  • Long-term service, not a one-off switch. Our business depends on keeping customers happy year after year by continuing to find great deals.

3. Does this service cost me anything?

No. Our service is completely free. You do not pay any fees for using Deadly Deals Energy.

4. How do you make money if the service is free?

We receive a commission from energy suppliers when a customer switches through us. This does not affect the price you pay for your energy.

5. I’m still in contract, can I sign up?

Yes. In fact, most of our customers are still in contract when they sign up with us.

We will not try to convince you to break your current contract, but instead will check your contract end date and find the best deal for you for when the contract will be ending, and only switch you once you approve the new offer.

6. Do I have to switch energy suppliers with you every year if I sign up?

No. You always remain in control of your energy supply and there’s no obligation to use our service for future contracts.

7. What is a Letter of Authority (L.O.A) and why do you need it?

A Letter of Authority allows us to act on your behalf when dealing with energy suppliers, including requesting offers and managing the switching process. We will always contact you and obtain your approval before any contract is agreed.

8. Can you switch me without my permission?

No. We will always explain the available options to you and proceed only after you give your explicit approval.

9. What happens after I sign up?

After you sign up:

  • We will send you a signed copy of your Broker Registration Form (L.O.A).
  • We will check the exact date of your existing contract end date and record it in our system.
  • Close to the end of your contract, we will contact you for approval of the next offer.
  • Once approved, we will ask you to send us pictures of your meters and, if it was not provided before, your IBAN number to set up direct debit with the new supplier.

10. Do I have to fill out new form every year?

No. You only need to fill out the registration form once.

We will keep your personal data in secure, SSL encrypted cloud storage, and before proceeding next year will only ask you to confirm that we can use the same data for your next contract. If nothing has changed, there is no need to complete the form again.

11. I’m afraid to give you my bank details, is it safe?

All data requested from you, including bank details, is submitted only through our internal, SSL encrypted upload forms and handled in line with GDPR requirements, following strict data protection practices.

12. Can I cancel your service if I change my mind?

Yes. You can cancel our service at any time by contacting us. Once we confirm your details, we will permanently erase your data and will no longer represent you in dealings with utility suppliers.
